auto flowering basic setup

Post by weedguru_animal » Tue Feb 23, 2010 7:32 am

Its about time I did something with these 5 auto flowering blueberry kush seeds I have in my drawer...I am able to grow outside. Money is limited...so what is the cheapest way to go, if I want to produce something worth smoking???

Outside is the cheapest.

I'd recommend you germinating the seeds indoors, and vegging them under fluorescents for a few weeks prior to planting them outside. The bigger they are when you put them out, the better.
Outdoor grows cost next to nothing..you would want to spend a bit for fertilizers/nutrients, and sometimes you wind up having to buy insecticides, but there are also homemade recipes you can use. Like to deter slugs, put broken egg shells all around the plant stem.

What season are you in now? Late summer or what?

Dunno exact percentage, it just says strong indica - more indica than sativa

Not the best choice for a beginner grower though...

Blueberry Kush

Seeds per pack : 10
Difficulty : 5/10
Type : Auto flowering indica hybrid (Strong Indica)
Height : 10 – 14 inches
Harvest : 10 weeks from seed
Yield : 14 – 30g per plant
Odour : 8/10
Ideal light regime : 20/4 from seed to harvest
Ideal pot size : 5litres
Environment : Indoors/Outdoors
Methods : Can be grown close together, not suitable for direct ground planting
Effect : Indica couch lock, medicinal, lung expanding
Potency : 8/10

Auto Blueberry Kush is a stable, inbred cross of our Auto Blueberry and Auto Hindu Kush, Auto Blueberry Kush is a short to medium sized strain, perfectly suited to window boxes. The difficulty rating of 5/10 is because of the Blueberry influence. Plant seeds directly into 5litre pots, be gentle with the nutrients and never let the medium become too dry or you run the risk of stunting their growth. The resin on this plant can, in some cases, be incredible. She has the aroma of the Auto Blueberry with the hard buds of the Auto Hindu Kush and the resin of both. Not the easiest auto flowering strain to grow but very rewarding if done correctly.

ummm...Higher!...I need direction. And likely correction.

I have planted one germinated seed into a large=ish pot, of soil from the small patch of garden at the front of my house, where I assumed, as two rose bushes grow happily, the earth must be fertile.

The pot of soil was watered, with one cup of water, and allowed to settle, before i planted the germinating seed, around 1/3 inch deep in the soil, with the sprouting green white piece of Natural Eagerness, pointing to the bottom of the pot. And it has been placed outside. The weather presently is going to be 28-32 most of this week, with clear skies and intensely hot sunshine.

Now to my questions...

Is it safe to leave outside, for the moment, until the plant has broken through the surface soil???
And then what? My plan was going to be outside during the day. Through the night somewhere else, inside.

What kind of light can I buy, to get a decent bud?

What kind of nutrients? and when do i start feeing the soul nutrients?

lastly, how often do I water the soil? Now, BEFORE it has reached the surface? and also AFTER it has broken free of its earthy confines??

All help is greatly appreciated...Please don't let me become a murdered!

Hmmmm...I see someone hasn't read my growing guides!

You say you planted into a largeish pot. Be careful there...it's best to plant a seedling in a small pot and then transplant to a large pot once the seedlings have a larger root system established. A seed and seedling doesn't have much of a root system and needs very little water. The plants can't reach the water at the bottom of a large pot so it'll sit there for forever and eventually can cause root rot. MJ roots need alot of water, but don't like sitting around in it.

Check out the Germination Guide http://www.weedguru.com/forum/viewtopic ... 88&t=15187
and the Watering Guide http://www.weedguru.com/forum/viewtopic ... 88&t=26728

I've never started a plant outdoors before...but don't leave it out in the direct sun, it'll dry out to fast.

For lighting read this : http://www.weedguru.com/forum/viewtopic ... 88&t=15186

For nutrients read this : http://www.weedguru.com/forum/viewtopic ... 88&t=26715

You gotta read man....knowledge is key for a succesful grow. I can't tell you everything...there's to much to tell!!

But you can still keep asking questions hehe

Happy grow!

awesome, I will need your guides one day Higher :)
Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we would all be running around darkened rooms, munching magic pills, and listening to repetitive electronic music.
