Jays are in a slump. they've been dropping far too many games to the easy teams.

Roughly two and a half weeks till opening day! Red Sox vs. Yankees. The Red Sox revamped their pitching and defense this year with the likes of John Lackey, Adrian Bletre, and Mike Cameron. Their resigning of all star closer Jonathon Papelbon only makes the kool aid taste that much sweeter. Their pitching is once again one of the top in the league, but this time year their offensive power is going to have to rely on speed rather than brute force as has been accustomed in the past with the likes of Manny Ramirez, and Jason Bay. With these two silver slugges gone, the Red Sox need to become stronger on all other facets and that is is exactly what they did. Then you have the Bronx bombers, the elite and most hated of all teams in baseball, The New York Yankees. They bring extensive firepower into any matchup with guys batting 1-9 capable of taking the ball deep everytime. Their starting pitching led by C.C. Sabathia looks ruthless, and their bullpen looks fairly solid. However, many of their allstars are getting old and I think this team is just about over the hill, How long can the likes of Derek Jeter, Mariona Riveria, Jorge Posada, and A.J. Burnett carry on without breaking one of their hips? Only time will tell and I imagine that we are in for an excellent season.
