Damn man, what a game to go to. I'm pretty annoyed the game's away for two reasons. 1) I would definately have gone and 2) home ice is biggg in that game. Should be a "dandy".
I saw on TV today, this man lost his son, his son died...
So he had him cremated, took his ashes, and then made it into a Diamond ring...
Now he watches his son shine every day.
I just thought about that, while I sit here ashing in this ashtray...

So the Canucks are in the playoffs, First round against Dallas Stars..

First game was on the 11th, went into 4 OT's
Canucks won... 5-4

Yikes. I was expecting a very small scoring game..
This series is going to prove to be interesting.

Next game is today, home ice..

I'm excited. I love playoff hockey.

Cup goes to Anaheim. Seems there's not a lot of interest in hockey :(. So many Canadians on the site too.

Lots of interest here :D but I have trouble watching the playoffs. I get so worked up :( I was hoping Ottawa would take the cup...not that I wanted an eastern team to get it first ;) but, I like Anaheim enough to not be displeased.

Ottawa played like they all had the flu or something. Honestly that was one of the poorer performaces in a playoff series that I have ever seen. They played games 3 and 4 ok, but really I was dissapointed with the stanley cup this year.

Yeah the games were exciting at certain points, but overall Ottawa was never in it at all.

Habs traded Samsonov today :?.

Yeah man, maybe I'm greedy or whatever but I'd much prefer to see a team move back to Quebec City or even Winnipeg. A team in Hamilton would definitely do very well, I just think the area is already so clustered with teams. That and Hamilton is already the AHL farm team for the habs, so I'd always have difficulty accepting the fact that the city has an NHL team. In the end, I hope they stay in Nashville though. As I said, I'd rather see a dead team like Phoenix move back.

I was shopping at my local grocery store today in Westmout (small town in Montreal) and I saw Bob Gainey there (Montreal Canadiens general manager). He was on his cell phone in a green t-shirt and a baseball cap worn low in an attempt to cover his face. I didn't approach him at first, because as I said he was on his cell phone but after about 5 minutes I just simply passed by him and made a coughing sound while saying "Briere", cough, "Kariya". He was still on his phone but he turned around, laughed and acknowledged what I said. Free agent signings start at midnight tonight so it would be pretty cool if we got one of those players.
