K all,

I "FIM-ed" my second generation of these same strains on 6-2-11 (Raspberry Cough & AK48). Here are the pics....

(and trans'ed em into 3 gl. pots from 8" pots. I would say that would tell you how resilient they are to first time growers such as myself!)

In regards to the foil, "yes everyone" I do know this is a big "NO NO"! I am simply trying to get an extra kick/hit of UVA's into these gals before the next cycle, however there still seems to be a bit of confusion regarding leaf absorption distribution and direct effect. I'm still looking into this so I'll let you know what I come up with ltr...

You using the dull side tells me you've at least made an informed decision regarding foil. Try making it as smooth as possible to eliminate any hotspots, if you haven't already.

On the subject of light reflection, I wonder why you don't often see people using mirror panels.

I think I recall hearing somewhere that's because glass acts like a magnifier when light filters through it JTP. As to the foil, I am using the dull side and trying to keep the reflectors as flattened out as possible. Not too easy when there's a fan hitting on 'em and they wish to take flying lessons every now and then... lol

I am however turning my girls in hopes of by-passing a heat/hot spot issue. So far so good, I'll keep you informed.

Just an FYI for those that already knew of this grow from another thread....

The first gen plants are: highest=Lori @ 31" (back left, she's an AK48, the shortest at 27" is Mini, an RC.) These are all from soil-up.

(she had a little "nute/nuet" issue where she went yellow for awhile but came back last week. She's in the bottom right of "Damn Hippies (n all the shots really), but if you were to follow my id, then you'd see her at her most yellowish.... )

Im having a bit of a problem. My seeds that I started a month ago seem really behind. they started off fine but now they are growing super slow and still seem to be in the sprout stage. they have weak thin stems and few leaves. One of their stems were so weak it bent from it's own weight, it recovered but still slow growth. They are kept in a small closet with 2 natural sunlight bulbs used for growing plants in aquariums. the soil is a mix of potting soil and some outside dirt. they are watered once a week and lightly sprayed every 3 days. PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like your lights aren't good enough or are way too high up.
