So while most people who played the first game know it still gets played you never really were that interested in it thus classified it as some non-important long forgotten game.

The RTS-genre was defined by Starcraft I, without it the genre wouldn't have evolved to what it is today.

In case you don't understand, I was replying to Bubble's argument where he stated that I could not use my arguement because Starcraft 2 is out and thus the South Koreans are more likely to be playing Starcraft 2 competitvely at this point. His arguement is invalid because I was merely replying to someone else's claim used against me.

Westwood Studios with their Dune and Command & Conquer series are the true architects of today's average RTS game. Hell, I just learned that CnC1 has sold just as much as Starcraft . Apparently it's in the Guiness Book of World records but I'm not gonna bet on it. One must bear in mind however, that the number sold does not equate to the quality of the game.

idk starcraft2 may have started it but supreme comander revolutionized it and i honestly thing Sup commander 2 will be much better.....you can have unbelieveably large armies and zoom all the way out to see the whole map...some of the maps are as big as planets and take a long time to cross even with jets......
